B.B.A. Tourism — Developing future-ready professionals for the tourism, travel, hospitality, and aviation sectors

Introduction

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Tourism, established in 2023, is a three-year undergraduate program designed to develop future-ready professionals for the dynamic tourism, travel, hospitality, and aviation sectors.

The program combines strong foundations in business management with specialized knowledge in tourism and aviation studies, enabling students to understand global tourism systems, service operations, and business decision-making. Delivered through a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), the curriculum emphasizes experiential learning through study tours, internships, industrial visits, projects, and skill-based workshops.

Students gain exposure to core management subjects such as marketing, finance, human resource management, operations, entrepreneurship, and analytics, alongside specialized courses in tourism geography, tour operations, airline ticketing, hospitality management, aviation logistics, and service marketing. Value-added components such as GDS (SABRE) certification, computer applications, AI for management, and compulsory French language training enhance global employability.

Key Outcomes: Strong managerial competence, analytical and problem-solving skills, customer-centric service orientation, strategic operational understanding, and professional communication abilities.

Career Opportunities: Career opportunities span roles in airlines, airports, travel and tour companies, hotels and resorts, logistics firms, consulting organizations, travel-tech startups, event management, government tourism departments, and international agencies, as well as opportunities for entrepreneurship and higher studies.
