The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Loyola Academy is a community service initiative that has been actively functioning since 1992. The unit works under the guidelines of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and is registered under the Osmania University Zone. The Principal of the college acts as the Chairman, while the activities are coordinated by the

Programme Officers   Mrs. M. Sunanda, Mrs. D. Sravani and Mrs. Hilda Margret.

The NSS unit observes and organizes programs on important national and international days such as National Youth Day, Republic Day, International Women’s Day, World Health Day, World Environment Day, Independence Day, International Literacy Day, NSS Day, National Blood Donation Day, World AIDS Day, and World Human Rights Day.
Apart from observing these important days, the NSS unit also participates in several social service initiatives including Haritha Haaram tree plantation drives, Swachh Bharat campaigns, voter awareness programs, blood donation camps, and health awareness activities. The volunteers also conduct awareness rallies against drug abuse, alcohol addiction, AIDS, and other social issues, and work with nearby communities to promote sanitation, hygiene, and social responsibility.

NSS ACTIVITES

The National Service Scheme chapter at Loyola encourages students to give back to the country in a manner that simultaneously helps their own personality development.
