MSc. Data Science department courses are designed in a way that the students are job ready. This curriculum will be annually revised, so it is relevant to the present technology and requirements at any workspace. The syllabus is designed along with university nominee, subject expert, and industrial expert. Industry academician Interaction with the students is arranged to guide, motivate, and give inputs on current trends.

- The program objectives are to train student with the tools that are in demand and urgently needed to engage in leading edge activities and research in data science.
- Students to demonstrate knowledge and skills related to Data sciences solutions Designing tools and methods to perform data analytics including data collection, data management, specification, data cleaning, data transformation, data modelling, big data analytics, data visualization, data Security, data quality evaluation.

The department regularly organizes guest lecturers by prominent professionals and academicians from industries and reputed educational institutions, to abreast the students with recent advances in the technical world.
- Orientation Program
The orientation program is designed to support new students as they begin their journey at Loyola Academy. During the program, we gradually introduce new students to life at the College, from academics and community norms to resources and support services.

- Campus Recruitment Training (CRT)
CRT program has been initiated by M.Sc. Data Science department every year in general.
- GENERAL SEMINAR
The students of M.Sc. in I year I semester select the latest IEEE/Elsevier/Springer/ ACM/IET publication papers that are trending and unique and know the literature survey on it and present the paper. In the year 2020-21 students presented their General Seminars.
- CERTIFICATIONS
The Department of M.Sc. Data Science Students in 2020-21 got Nptel certifications in Python for Data Science, Data Mining, Data Analytics, Real Time Operating System. The Department of M.Sc. Data Science Students in 2020-21 got Kaggle certifications in python, Introduction to Machine Learning, Intermediate Machine Learning. The Department of M.Sc. Data Science Students in 2020-21 got coursera certifications In Programming for Everybody, Introduction to Cyber Security Tools and Cyber Attacks.
- MINI PROJECTS
The Students of M.Sc. Data Science I year II semester do Mini Projects in their summer vacation on Machine Learning, Data Mining etc. And these projects are evaluated in Data Science II year I semester. Mini Projects have started from the academic year 2021-22 onwards
