BA Psychology, English Literature & Journalism

Introduction

The department of B A Psychology, English Literature & Journalism was started in the year 2006. The triple major department prepares the students to look for job portals or to explore higher education possibilities based on their proficiency in any one of the three majors, giving them an opportunity and enabling them to make the right decision based on their interest levels and the demands in the education and job sectors of the society today. Also, considering that all the three majors are in a great demand in their respective sectors, the student would be able to choose interdisciplinary courses, facilitating them to explore in their career choices, inculcating better decision making skills for the same. A blend of classic curriculum and use of modern teaching aids is what makes this department contemporary to students’ needs. Student participative techniques like group discussions, case studies are adopted in teaching methodologies. Further, industrial visits impart practical exposure as a part of experiential learning. Additionally, for enhanced learning experiences, ICT tools are adopted for an effective teaching strategy.

Vision & Mission

VISION: The department aims to inculcate the ability to analyze and construct creative ideas, and to enable communicative competence among our students towards their holistic growth.

MISSION: The department through its humanities courses aims to train students to be empathetic, compassionate, and responsible young citizens

Students registering for this course get in-depth exposure to three subjects; a buffet of three courses offers triple opportunities.
