Loyola Academy’s MBA programme is well-known for its outstanding contributions . MBA programme strives to inculcate in the students the values of excellence, along with entrepreneurial skills. It was  commenced in the year 2001 providing dual specializations in Marketing, Finance, HRM. The department’s motto is  to create YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS.

  •  Every  year the department organizes a nationallevel management fest called “Melangealong with many others.
  •  The department organizes “Antriksh” – a self-development program for all second-year students. Antriksh uses the best trainers from the industry to bridge the skill gap required by the industry. 
  • We conduct visits to prestigious organizations like MRF, The Hindu, NTPC, HBCCL, MASQATI through which the  students can learn directly from industrialists  at work.
  • We conduct a two-day program to celebrate the undying spirit of entrepreneurship. This program inspires many  to take up the challenges and reap the rewards that entrepreneurship has to offer

  • International Seminar on Interdisciplinary trends in AI 

    The MBA Department organized an  International seminar on Interdisciplinary trends in Artificial Intelligence (21st Feb – 28th Feb 2022). The Day-3 of the webinar emphasized on the role and significance of AI in Business Management and Finance.

  • Five Day Virtual National Level Workshop on “Innovation and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem”

    An Entrepreneurial Five Day Virtual National Level Workshop was held at Loyola Academy Degree and PG College, Hyderabad on 07-12-2021 to 11-12-2021. The workshop has been hosted by the Entrepreneurial Club of the MBA department, which brought together 106 colleges from almost 16 states across India.

  • Industry Academia Interface

    As a part of Industry Academia- interface  an interactive session was organized by the department of Business Administration on 21-08-2021.  Through this session the students gained insights about core concepts of  branding and marketing.

  • HR Seminar on Exploring New Career choices in Corporate Landscape

    On 25th September 2021, a guest lecture was organized by Dr. T. Rachel Shalini for the MBA students which focused on Human Resource talent acquisition to enable the students to  set professional goals for designing a career path for their future. 

  • Advanced Certificate course in Financial Analysis and Modelling

    This course was commenced on the  12th August 2021, which was organized by Fr. Dr L Joji Reddy    SJ (Principal of Loyola Academy), Dr. Sindhu Varghese (HOD of MBA, Loyola Academy), Mr. T. Hanok and Mrs. Sheeba Jackson (Course Co-Ordinator, Loyola Academy) for MBA students to understand the application and analysis of financial data and its interpretation in the real-world scenario. The resource person for the advanced certificate course was Rev Fr Dr S. Raja Ratna Reddy. (B.Tech, FPM/ Ph.D  From XLRI, Professor of Finance SFIMAR Mumbai).

  • Capacity building & guidance workshop 

    A capacity building and guidance workshop was organised by the department  This session provided insights on various career opportunities and what different domains of MBA hold for students. 

  • The department organised a National Management meet – Melange 

    A platform for students to learn organizing, planning, and coordinating skills for becoming best future managers.

  • The department had organised- Loyola Academy Model United Nations – L. A. M. U. N

    The event had sessions on the international labor conference to provide students an opportunity to represent countries and find solutions to various global issues.

  • Career Building Program – 3 Day Upskilling workshop for MBA students

     The workshop provided the students with insights on soft skills, tips on interviews, group discussion, mock group discussion, JAM sessions, tips in building their resume  and resume assessment done.

Two Day National Conference on Fostering Creativity & Innovation for students of Management 

Under the guidance of Dr. R. Lavanya Kumari, HOD, Department of MBA. The department had organized a two-day national conference with esteemed speakers from T-Hub, ABWCI, and other innovators who spoke regarding the importance of creative thinking and innovation in today’s global era in entrepreneurship.

Departmental Orientation Program for the 1st year students of MBA batch 2022 – 24 

Orientation by Rev. Fr. Dr. AM Joseph Kumar SJ, Vice Principal, Loyola Academy followed by Dr. T. Rachel Shalini, Dean, School of Management. Guidance session by senior faculty of the department Prof. T Hanok and Dr. R. Lavanya Kumari, HOD.  Interaction with student representatives from MBA 2nd year including CR’s, ACR’s and council members.

Project & Internship Orientation 

As a part of their curriculum, it is mandatory for the 2nd year students of MBA to pursue internships and do a research project on their major subject choice.  An orientation session was organized by the department where Mr. A. Prabhakar, Starc Research Solutions addressed the students and helped them gain overall idea regarding the requirements and offered project guidance.
